This herb stimulates the digestive system by improving appetite, increases digestive enzymes and bile. Desert sage is rich in aromatic compounds which increase the moisture in the lungs that address thick mucus, lung infections and bacterial growth. Sage has also been known to alleviate menstrual cramping and can even stimulate a delayed menstrual cycle. Desert sage contains artemisinin and santonin, which irritate and cause small intestinal parasitic worms, such as pinworms and other roundworms, to be expelled.

For Digestion: Steep 3oz of sage for 15 minutes before meals.

For Cough: Drink 3 to 5 cups a day, 1 teaspoon per cup.

For Menstrual Cramps or Delay: Drink 2 cups daily, 1 teaspoon per cup.
